การกายภาพบำบัดเบื้องต้นสำหรับผู้ป่วย Stroke

Stroke survivors often face challenges with mobility, such as weakness on one side of the body, poor balance, or loss of coordination. Starting physical therapy early—especially during the subacute phase—can significantly improve their chances of recovery.

In this video, our physiotherapist at MRC Physical Therapy and Multidisciplinary Clinic demonstrates a gentle, basic physical therapy routine designed to

  • Move and stretch joints carefully, such as flexing and extending the limbs, to prevent stiffness and stimulate blood circulation.
  • Encourage assisted movement, where the patient is supported while being actively involved in the motion.
  • Re-train the brain-muscle connection, essential for regaining daily functional activities like sitting up, standing, and walking.

These techniques are suitable for patients recovering at home after hospital discharge or post-acute stroke.

Why is early rehab important?

  • Prevents muscle atrophy and joint contracture
  • Improves blood circulation and oxygen to the brain
  • Promotes neuroplasticity and faster independence
